The Elombe Brath Foundation, Inc. is proud to announce 

The First Annual Commemoration of the Life and Legacy of Elombe Brath 
who passed on May 19, 2014. This event will honor the legacy and work of Elombe Brath. 


Join us in witnessing the creation of the Council of Elders and Advisors. 
This event will be held on Saturday, May 16 2015 at the 
Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Plaza,
1368 Fulton Street Brooklyn, New York 11216
from 1pm to 5pm in the Community room
Food and Refreshments will be served
 


The community will learn of the foundation’s efforts to: 


• Document Elombe Brath’s enormous contributions to the African Liberation Struggle and his work as an architect of the Black Arts Movement 



• Preserve his own archives and documents 



• Provide research access, scholarship and educational programs for students and scholars focusing on history and culture of the African Diaspora 



• Create exhibitions of artist, musicians, writers, actors and activists which focus upon an Afri-centric aesthetic 


We invite you to come and enjoy meeting friends, family and heroes of the Pan-African Liberation Struggle. Enjoy Music and stories of the African Diaspora.

Tributes to Ancestors Elombe Brath, Herman Ferguson & Louis Reyes Rivera

Ancestors Elombe Brath, Herman Ferguson and Louis Reyes Rivera will be 
celebrated on May 16, 2015.  Elombe made his transition on Malcolm’s birthday 
last year, Louis was born on Malcolm’s birthday in 1945, and Herman promised 
to carry on Malcolm’s work, and did.
