About the THEME
It seems like young people are no longer interested in being political
activists. If activism is relevant today, why are so few youth involved?
Young Afrikan women and men seem to be caught between confused identities
and meaningless politics. What are the experiences, views points and
suggestions of a young activist today? .... in relation to gender? .... in
relation to the Afrikan Family? What does the future hold, and what could
be done to get more young people involved in political activism?

About the PRESENTER
Nomagugu Hloma is a Soweto-born, young woman. She is a Black Power Pan
Afrikanist activist who has been involved with the BlackWash movement and
Siyaphambili Youth Pioneers. She is
also one of the Student Leaders of the Bantu Movement, which is a Black
Conscious student movement at UJ. She has also worked closely with
eBukhosini Solutions over the past two years.
