The national roundtable table will take place in Equatorial Guinea in November.

In an address to the 13 currently legalized political parties in the country, President Obiang invited the representatives of opposition parties and organizations residing abroad to participate in this dialogue meeting with the goal of legalizing their status inside the country or joining the existing legalized parties.

"We invite all the political parties legalized in Equatorial Guinea and the political forces inside and outside the country, as an expression of political pluralism, so that they may assume their duties and obligations in contributing to the vast program of political, economic and socio-cultural development of our country, designed by the government in the national interest."

During his address, Obiang stressed that dialogue is the only way to contribute to the development of the country, and he expects everyone attending this meeting to be able to express their opinions freely.

President Obiang also discussed the political transition that took place in Equatorial Guineain recent years. He talked about the new Basic Law, which created new State Organizations, such as the Bicameral Parliament, the Council of the Republic, the Economic and Social Council, the Court of Auditors and the People's Defender.

"This Constitutional Reform broadens the margin of political participation, limits the presidential mandates and establishes naturally necessary controls for transparency in the Administration of the Public Affairs," he said.
