This Father's Day, we honor our PARENTS!
According to a study by Congressman José Serrano (D-NY), more than 100,000 parents of U.S. citizen children have
been deported since 1998. These numbers are grossly underestimated, since
Immigration is not required to ask whether someone has U.S. citizen children
before deporting them. The system we have today does not take into account the
needs and rights of U.S. citizen children.
HELP US MAKE OUR VOICES
HEARD!
We are youth raised in New York City who want to see our families
stay together in the U.S. Our parents help us with homework, care for us, and
give us a loving and nurturing environment to grow. We need our parents here
with us! Help us keep our families together!
We support the Child Citizen
Protection Act (CCPA), legislation introduced by Congressman José Serrano. The
CCPA would give immigration judges the power to take into consideration the best
interests of U.S. citizen children when a parent is facing deportation.
