We invite you to join us at Bluestockings bookstore on March 17th 2013, at 7pm
for a discussion of the recently published Beyond Walls and Cages: Prisons,
Borders and Global Crisis (UGA Press). Several contributors to this important
collection of writing will be taking part in the conversation, led by editor
Jenna Loyd.

Beyond Walls and Cages challenges the idea that borders and
prisons create safety, security, and order. Instead, walls and cages fortify
wealth and power inequalities, racism, gender and sexual oppression. Promoting
an abolitionist, no borders agenda, Beyond Walls and Cages seeks to foster the
understanding that freedom of movement and freedom to inhabit are necessarily
connected and important for creating a more just and free world.
