I posted on Mayor Rahm Emanuel's Facebook Page the following analysis in his engagement of those in response to Chicago senseless violence -- especially WHY are we not seeing the veteran anti violence activists being publicly engaged by The Mayor and Police Chief McCarthy that endorsed Rahm for re-election?
"Mr. Mayor, I am just one of many in the activist community who are absolutely puzzled as to WHY Wallace" Gator" Bradley Wallace Bradley and so many other anti-violence activists are NOT being publicly engaged in the city response to these senseless shootings?  There are these photo ops with people like Gator Bradley with The Police Superintendent who says he welcomes other real community engagement yet we don't see McCarthy coming back to actively engage people like Gator in whatever their proposals are to help.
And people like Gator aggressively and took a lot of public heat for his endorsement of your re-election and told his naysayers and critics to "JUST WATCH" how you were going to work to address the senseless violence we are reading public posts from people like Gator and others  that make it appear that they were merely props for the election and are NOT being engaged or empowered in anyway to bring and have their strategic voices and resources publicly lifted up as part of any kind of new Mayoral response to the violence with your major anti violence supporters!!
Of course I in NO WAY speak for Wallace Bradley nor did I even talk to him about this post - BUT I think that one of the reasons WHY people like Gator Bradley took such strong positions for your reelection was that in times like these that you would be lifting him up and other veteran anti violence activists like Bamani Obadele in Bronzeville and a Diane Latiker in Roseland and others are battling with limited to scarce resources and could help strategically help if they were lifted up with RESOURCES that you have access to. And I guess I should state that I think that this is a tremendous opportunity to direct resources to them through the $50 MILLION private anti violence fund that people like Jim Reynolds help raise for GET-IN CHICAGO and has the private flexibility to qualify them if this was indeed SERIOUS ENOUGH!!  Why should millions just sit when they could be directed to some of your major anti-violence allies who endorsed your reelection"
One last time, I do not understand the point of highlighting the various anti-violence activists during the Mayoral Campaign that endorsed Rahm if at times like these they are not being lifted up after the campaign on the VERY issues that are validated with proven experience in addressing?
