The March 5th edition of the Gazette states they "agrees with [Tillman] that a choice would be better than one-party rule, and we like his determination to revitalize the two-party system in Chicago. With fresh ideas, Jimmy Lee Tillman deserves the Republican nomination."

The Gazette has focused on building bridges among communities, keeping people from being taken advantage of, providing a thorough understanding of politics, and giving a voice to community residents and business owners.

Bob Hurling, a Will County political operative who is excited about Tillman's chances in the 1st District and is happy to support a solid candidate in his neck of the woods. "Tillman has the name and the courage to go up against the strong Democrats that currently control the political landscape in Will County."

The BTRO is the grass roots Republican organization specifically for Bremen Township. Breman Township includes the entire communities of Oak Forest, Midlothian, Posen, and Robbins, with parts of Blue Island, Homewood, Orland Park, Tinley Park, Crestwood, Hazel Crest, Markham, Country Club Hills, and Harvey.

The 1st Congressional District is based in Cook County, the district includes much of the South Side of Chicago, and continues southwest to Joliet and extends into the city's southwest suburbs until reaching the border of Will County, and covered 97.84 square miles, making it one of the 40 smallest districts in the U.S. The district also has the highest percentage of African-American residents of any congressional district in the nation.

"As congressman, the 1st Congressional District will be represented from the urban and middle-class communities in Cook County to the rural and bedroom communities in Will County.", states Jimmy Lee Tillman, II. " I will be an independent voice in the majority party committed to the entire district."
