3828841687?profile=originalChicago, IL Jimmy Lee Tillman, II, republican candidate for 1st Congressional District in Illinois is criticizing the Democratic Party leadership and its mistreatment and abandonment of its support of long time serving Cook County Clerk Dorothy Brown while she is under investigation by federal authorities. The feds joined an investigation launched by the Cook County state's attorney's office for the sale of a North Lawndale building owned by Narendra Patel, a longtime campaign donor to Brown and a west suburban businessman. This is happening while still supporting Rep Bobby Rush, (D) Ill, who is also under investigation for a variety of charges. He is accused of misusing campaign funds, improper reporting of finances, and the missing one million dollar grant provided by a private company aided by Rush in Congress. More recently the investigation against Rush has also uncovered two donors who  received pay for play while assisting Rush with his church's electricity bill and employment for a relative.

"It is pathetic how Clerk Brown had to sit in judgement by her so called allies and friends in the Democratic party, who has rushed to humiliate and condemn her, while hypocritically supporting Rep. Bobby Rush's ally 8th ward Ald. Michelle Harris, and turning a blind's eye to the embattled congressman", blasted Tillman.  "In all fairness the Cook County Democratic Party leadership should hold Rep. Rush to the same standards as Clerk Brown. That is why I am calling on the Cook County states attorney's office to open up an investigation of the allegations involving Rep. Bobby Rush and the Democratic Party to withdraw all support of the congressman."
