Major Supporters Increases for Veterans Organization
(Chicago, Illinois) - On Saturday, September 26, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. a press conference will be held at The Smith Residence Veterans Village in Ford Heights, Illinois, to announce the partnership of the Evangelical Catholic Diocese of the Northwest with DOLL, INC., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides assistance to women and men Veterans. Recently, Bishop James Alan Wilkowski, Evangelical Catholic Bishop for the Diocese of the Northwest, toured the grounds of the Veterans Village and was surprised with the lack of support and funding that this renovation project was receiving.

The Bishop who serves veterans on a daily basis in Illinois, Oregon and Wisconsin, said, "I would be proud to help the success of the Veterans Village." This public event will be held in the Veterans Village on 15th Street and Ellis Avenue. Other key supporters who will be in attendance are the United Auto Workers Local 551, Ford Heights, Illinois, Calumet Harley-Davidson, Munster, Indiana, the Buffalo Troopers Chicago MC, Calumet City, Illinois, and the Buffalo Soldiers Chicago MC, Chicago, Illinois.

Over the years, DOLL, INC. has created employment opportunities and provided financial support to a number of veterans either through direct services or working in conjunction with other organizations such as Veterans Life Changers. DOLL, INC has a history longer than its legal entity as Ms. Doll Smith, DOLL, INC.'s founder, has been actively involved in the Chicago-land communities in various ways, including supporting local children's shelters, nursing homes, and facilitating fundraising activities to support women's and children's housing initiatives for over a decade.  DOLL, INC. was featured on a segment aired on ABC Channel 7 News, Thursday, November 07, 2013.
