SATURDAY APRIL 8th TO HELP STOP THE VIOLENCE BY RECLAIMING STREETS ON 51st AND INDIANA WHERE RECENT ACTS OF VIOLENCE OCCURRED RECENTLY
Contact Bamani Obadele @ 312-420-5582
The purpose of the event is to address the violence that has taken place on the Conner of 51st Indiana over the past month where there has been 2 people murdered and 4 shot!
Activist Bamani Obadeli, one of the community organizers with The Grand Boulevard Coalition (GBC) states that "As we approach school spring break we are calling for Peace by offering food, information for jobs, and training, and connecting TO each other and not ON each other. It aint easy, but we must form these collaborations and join the activities where we come out onto the streets WITH the very people who we do not want to continue to be disconnected where senseless violence continues if we dont get in the streets with our own people to help stop the violence"
The Grand Boulevard Coalition (GBC) and other grassroots groups working "hands-on" and on the ground, along with Alderman Pat Dowell and others.
