Is God giving Bobby Rush a message?

In the Chicago Tribune 2011 article Numerous battles haven't slowed Rep. Bobby Rush , the congressman stated

"I wasn't born a congressman and I hope that I'm blessed not to die as a congressman," he said. "God put me here and God will take me out of here. He will give me a strong message that this is the time to leave, all right?"

High Winds damage stain-glass windows of Congressman Rush's Chicago Church

CHICAGO — High winds have damaged stained-glass windows at the Chicago church where U.S. Rep. Bobby Rush is pastor.

Rush tells the Chicago Sun-Times (http://bit.ly/10fFNKE) that a minimum of $125,000 in donations will be needed to secure the 85-year-old Tiffany-inspired windows at Beloved Community Christian Church.

On Sunday shattered glass and metal framework from the windows were scattered across pews at the church on the city's South Side.

The church was built in 1949.

Rush says the windows have "inspired the downtrodden ... to upward thought."

Rush says there were no injuries. He says the windows were damaged Friday night or early Saturday.
