PHILADELPHIA — The Rev. Jesse Jackson will speak at the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday, a night featuring members of the Congressional Black Caucus and Asian-Pacific members of Congress.
Jackson’s selection further underscores his comeback. He was never given any special consideration by President Barack Obama and his team.
Jackson, the Chicago civil rights leader, recently hosted Hillary Clinton at a Rainbow Push convention in chicago.
Jackson twice ran for president. The topic of the speech was not known.

I was glad to be a part of political history as the youngest member of The Illinois Delegate slate of The Jackson '88 Campaign and what it did to set the stage for President Obama's election in 2008. Truth be told, the majority of the Obama 2008 Platform and Dem Party Platform has been rooted in the platforms of Jackson's '84 and '88 Campaigns and thus it is good to have his voice today as part of the current Democratic Convention. God bless
