Chicago-Midwest
THROWBACK from September 2014 and now over a year later NO ONE KNOWS what happened to the MILLION DOLLARS which also included a $200,000 UNRESTRICTED grant negotiated for the credit union back then by National Black Wall Street Chicago and The Monroe Foundation. Back then Gregg Brown publicly admitted that he had nothing to do with the outreach for the money and thanked us which is why it was just STUNNING when he cut off communications with us and then REMOVED the public acceptance of the money from the credit union website and social media pages as if the money was never received. Whatever the answers are, its a matter of public accountability. We still believe that it was a good thing to try and direct ONE MILLION dollars into a Black institution for the purpose of expanding the capacity to provide those Micro-Loan funds to help create, sustain, and increase Black business members of The Credit Union and we still believe that it was a good idea to have negotiated the $200,000 UNRESTRICTED GRANT to help the Credit Union build its internal and community outreach ability to recruit more individual and well as churches and church based businesses
