As a former organization and national staff member from Operation Breadbasket, to Operation PUSH to Rainbow/PUSH Rainbow PUSH Coalition, I am pleased to support and return to the organization this Saturday for REUNION DAY!!
SATURDAY MORNING COMMUNITY FORUM, DECEMBER 13, 2014
This Saturday Morning we will celebrate the founders of RainbowPUSH from and those who have been with the organization from 1966 until today in an 8:00 am breakfast. We will highlight our progress in pushing for fair wages, economic justice, educational equity and human rights.
Rev. Jackson will provide the Founder's Message detailing the next steps after Ferguson, Mo, New York , Ohio. The music will be provided Shiloh Baptist Church by one of the few churches that provided a home to Operation PUSH. RainbowPUSH will provide food to 500 families caught in the midst of financial need this Christmas season.
We will close the day with a Reunion luncheon featuring tributes to many of our founding choir members, ushers, black men pushing, youth division, political division, teacher's division, students division. etc.
