THE NAACP CHICAGO SOUTHSIDE BRANCH, SEIU LOCAL #73/COW, BLACKS IN GREEN AND EdVK UNITE TO HOST

 2015 MAYORAL & ALDERMANIC CANDIDATE FORUMS

Chicago, Illinois -- The NAACP, along with the SEIU, Blacks and Green, Educational Village Keepers (EdVK) are hosting a series of mayoral and aldermanic candidate forums across the south side of Chicago with the first being held at 1 p.m., Saturday, January 10^th, at the Adam Clayton Powell, Jr. Paideia Academy, 7511 South Shore Dr.

The “CALL TO ACTION” forums are designed to help voters make sound decisions for the February 24^th municipal elections.

According to Attorney Rose Joshua, president of the NAACP Chicago South Side Branch, the purpose of the forums is to arm the communities with information voters need to make educated choices in the upcoming municipal elections.

Each candidate will present their platform, and residents will have a chance to ask questions.

“This is a New Year and it is time for a fresh start for our communities hopefully with candidates who are sensitive to their needs,” said  Joshua.
