Missed opportunity from The Chicago Mayoral Debate

The Chicago Mayoral debate was hosted in a historic Black community where Gospel Music was born; in a historic Black museum; co hosted by a historic Black radio station WVON, a Black advocacy group like The Chicago Urban League; allegedly with subject matter of importance to the Black community, YET the subject matter of TIF fund usage comes up and no question to the Mayor with regard to an existing TIF proposal his office has had since June, 2014 to use existing TIF funds to redevelop a vacant public school in the historic Bronzeville community into a Chicago Gospel Music Heritage Museum, which would be an economic stimulus, tourist attraction etc. Couldnt have been a better setting for a public commitment. Shame that the Mayor wasn't challenged, AND shame that NONE of his opponents challenged him either and final shame I guess that none our Black journalists have also found the proposal fitting to have it as a part of their questioning of Chicago Mayoral candidates. I'll keep pushing it though to them and us all

MAYOR EMANUEL AND MAYORAL CANDIDATES SHOULD RESPOND TO SPECIFIC PROPOSALS FOR VACANT PUBLIC SCHOOL USAGE
