As a former Field Director for PUSH, I was humbled to be back there today working in my non partisan voter education position as Lead Organizer for of The Illinois Voter Restoration Project, (reconnecting voters to the electoral process) along with The Citizen Action of Illinois as we kicked off over 100 Paid workers who are helping with our grassroots education and contact with voters to Get-Out-The-Vote street operation at high traffic areas on the South, Westside, and south suburbs!!
Over 100 workers doing everything from phone banking, door to door contact and literature distribution encouraging Black voter turnout on Tuesday!!! Great to be back and reconnect with so many former field staff of mine, volunteers, and community workers, and great to partner again with William McNary Director of Citizen Action Of Illinois, who has continued to make the funding possible for this most important old school "hands on" work of touching voters directly encouraging voter turnout !
