Chicago-Midwest

SATURDAY MARCH 26th
Chicago, Illinois
As Chairman of National Black Wall Street Chicago and as a National representative of Rev. Dr. Michael Carter, Sr. and the national chapters of Black Wall Street USA I am more than pleased to help welcome Dr. Boyce Watkins to Chicago and offer our operational unity for his upcoming event in Chicago on Saturday March 26th at the world premiere for his new film, "Resurrecting Black Wall Street: The Blueprint."He will also have a lively panel discussion about the atrocities of black Wall Street and how to build a black Wall Street in the 21st century. We are pleased locally and nationally to be part of this current legacy of building and rebuilding our majority Black communities by creating, sustaining, and increasing our Black businesses and institutions with our collective trillion dollar consumer sending power along with the BLUEPRINT offered by Dr. Boyce Watkins from the spirit and example of the original Black Wall Street Of Tulsa.
Locally, we are pleased to welcome Dr. Watkins as he brings his event to what we have claimed as the 47th Street Black Wall Street District anchored by The Harold Washington Cultural Center, located across the street from the Center on this historic corner of 47th & King Drive. And on this historic corner we have a legendary Black businessman in Mr. Elzie Higginbottom who used his dollars to buy up two major buildings on 47th Street anchored with Black owned and operated businesses and again houses our National Black Wall Street Chicago Offices. Again, I am pleased to help welcome and support this event which should be a sellout for the debut of this movie and strategic dialogue, and in fact a great kickoff for our next national visit to the original Black Wall Street Of Tulsa this June.
