ILLINOIS AFRICAN-AMERICAN FAMILY COMMISSION TO UNVEIL BLACK AGENDA
Chicago – The Illinois African-American Family Commission (IAAFC) is unveiling a black agenda 9:30 a.m., Friday, October 24, 2014, at Malcolm X College, 1900 West Van Buren, Chicago, IL that will begin a comprehensive process to address systemic issues within Illinois’ African American communities.
The black agenda proposed by the IAAFC will begin with three primary issue areas and implement a process that embraces business partners, incorporates community agencies, and includes government agency partners. The IAAFC is looking forward to discussing the need for improved accountability, transparency, and reliability to ensure strong and thriving communities.
The IAAFC will achieve its goals working in coordination with the Office of the Governor, the Illinois Legislative Black Caucus, and members of the General Assembly. Additionally we look forward to forging partnerships to achieve the Black Agenda with elected officials at every level of government.
