WEGG will provide its educational services in a supportive, enabling environment for women entrepreneurs and women business owners so they can easily access global know-how anywhere in the world. -- Laurel Delaney, Executive Director, WEGG

There are an estimated 126 million active female entrepreneurs in 67 economies around the world. But the number of women entrepreneurs who export is largely unknown. That is about to change. Women Entrepreneurs GROW Global (WEGG), a newly minted 501c(3) organization, is committed to helping women-owned and women-led businesses increase their access to knowledge about exporting their products or services, grow their revenue, create jobs, and make an even more impactful contribution to their families and the economy.

Established in June 2015, Women Entrepreneurs GROW Global is the first and only nonprofit organization dedicated to educating women business owners and entrepreneurs worldwide on how to expand their business internationally. Through online and in-person education, coupled with practitioner-guided and directed practice of exporting principles, WEGG will offer women-owned and women-led businesses an affordable and convenient way to grow their business revenue through exporting. The first education program, a webinar on “Getting Started in Exporting: Ready Your Business for Growth,” is scheduled for Jan. 6, 2016. These webinars will be accompanied by individualized and peer group assistance, e-newsletters, full-day conferences and a half-day local workshop for busy business owners.

“Since so much in life, particularly for women, is about confidence, WEGG will provide its educational services in a supportive, enabling environment for women entrepreneurs and women business owners so they can easily access global know-how anywhere in the world,” says Laurel Delaney, executive director, Women Entrepreneurs GROW Global. “WEGG was born out of a love for exporting and a desire to help women excel at it.”

WEGG’s director of development Bob Marovich praised the launch of WEGG: “Many women business owners today find the prospect of exporting daunting. WEGG’s affordable and accessible menu of options will enable them to up their global game.”

Enabling women business owners to take their businesses to the next level is a key initiative for WEGG. “I am honored to be a part of a new nonprofit that speaks to so many women worldwide who are eager to grow their businesses through exports,” says Patti Ross, president and founder of Patricia Ross & Associates, formerly Market Executive – Global Women’s Market for IBM Corporation. “WEGG is second to none on the expertise and level of education it offers to help business owners swiftly expand internationally.”
