Chicago Community Activists, Religious leaders and Organizers publicly Demands that Mayor Emanuel Deliver City funds to "Boots on the ground" Organizations to Address the Violence in the Black Community immediately
During this Black History Month Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel must be publicly challenged on a quote by Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr that the Mayor has delivered Chicago's Black community a bad check that has come back marked "insufficient funds" as former Rahm anti violence supporters point to his "economic violence" in his lack of a real budget the community can see that addresses the double digit unemployment numbers in the Black community. Former Rahm supporters call for his IMMEDIATE
$5 MILLION investment in selected proven Chicago anti violence initiatives.
Veteran Political activist Bamani Obadele who supported Rahm's re-election is disappointed and is demanding immediate economic action from the Mayor into the Black Community saying that "if the Mayor can find immediate Funds to Help illegal immigrants to stay in this city he better find money to help address the economic deprivation in the black community," Obadele went further to state that enough is enough as this City has reach now over 100 Murders with 85% in the African American community.
