Time To Unite Around Million Dollar Aldermanic Menu and Parity Legislation led by our Aldermen Representing Majority Black Wards
Aldermen's Million Dollar Budgets should focus more on the community contractors and professional service providers from within their Wards to increase Ward's economy and community workforce
Last week on his Black Wall Street Districts of Chicago Facebook Page, District founder Ron Carter publicly reported that While dropping off Chicago Street Journal Newspapers (of which he is the editor and publisher -- that he stopped by 3rd Ward Alderman Pat Dowell's office to find out what was the delay in a meeting with her and Alderman Rod Sawyer in regards to the Black Wall Street Chicago Parity Legislation on the Aldermanic Menu. According to Carter's public statement Dowell's office called Alderman Sawyer scheduler to confirm a date, which should was to be confirmed this past Thursday and by this writing the meeting may have occurred.
The purpose of the meeting to address three items. 1. Which aldermen will be the sponsor(s) of the legislation, 2. Re-present it to the Black Caucus. 3. Present it to the City Council meeting for the December of 2014 City Council Meeting. - - After 6 years this is where we are at.
For those not aware of the issue; it means racial parity goes to people (contractors/laborers) under the $1.2 million each alderman is in controlled of each year
Now its election time and in my judgement, NO BETTER TIME than to get the attention of our incumbents as well as those seeking to try and become Aldermen. This is an answer to desperate economic conditions plaguing Black and Poor communities. Although as a Black economic advocacy organization led effort this type of Parity can help sustain and increase the business and jobs from the local service providers in every Ward. Because of the desperate economic conditions and the need to sustain and increase the community businesses and jobs of the Black community, we call this Parity Legislation to be led and approved by those Aldermen who represent majority Black Wards.
As a veteran activist and Chairman Of National Black Wall Street Chicago I am encouraging full community support for this Parity legislative effort of Black Wall Street Districts of Chicago led by Ron, BUT, Do we REALLY need to have to LEGISLATE our Black elected officials to have what should be their own moral authority to direct their spending budgets more on the local Black business and service providers within their own Wards without apology?
Anyone wanting an update on the meeting and are interested in working on the strategic followup details should contact Ron Carter and his Black Wall Street Districts Of Chicago organization directly at 773-595-5229

The National Black Wall Street Chicago has a Black Community Contractors and Workers Coalition led by Diversity Consultant Bob Israel; The Black Wall Street Districts Of Chicago, led by founder Ron Carter has The Black Contractors In The Neighborhood and they all should share the united front on these new legislative and other needed efforts to help sustain and increase the local business of Black community contractors and workers from the elected officials of our majority Black Wards.
Now is the time for strategic operational unity on every issue to strengthen the economy in the Black community and as in Dr. King's POOR PEOPLE'S CAMPAIGN its not a racist formula when its equally applied in all Wards. At this point any elected official representing a majority Black Ward nor any potential candidate should not be willing to stand for this Parity Proposal.
