Author Abba Yahudah reveals fulfillment of ancient prophesy in new book

The Essenes were a sect of Judaism from second century B.C. to the first century A.D. Author Abba Yahudah believes that a prophecy made by this group is fulfilled by the existence of modern-day Rastafarians. His new book, “A Journey to the Roots of Rastafari: The Essene Nazarite Link” (published by Trafford Publishing), illustrates this point.

A book about Rastafarians written by a Rastafarian, “A Journey to the Roots of Rastafari” is a collection of Yahudah’s thoughts, which he gleaned from various historical and current sources. Yahudah attempts to show how Rastafarians are the only mystic group capable of fulfilling an Essenian prophecy.

“The relevance of ‘The Journey to the Roots of Rastafari’ to today’s society is primarily based on the rapid growth of the Rastafarian movement, and the vast ignorance that still cloaks the minds of the masses about them,” Yahudah says.

Yahudah hopes that his book will clear up some common misconceptions regarding Rastafarianism. Through his historical research, he hopes to shed light on Rastas and show how ancient prophesy can align with historical facts.

An excerpt from “The Journey to the Roots of Rastafari”:

“A Journey to the Roots of Rastafari is a concise compilation of thoughts inspired by a wealth of knowledge gleaned from many different sources to support one point: Ancient prophecies are being fulfilled in our times, right before our eyes, yet they go unnoticed (…) The parallels I draw throughout this Journey from the available facts will illustrate just that.”
