At a recent panel discussion in the Grand Reading Room of the Claire T Carney Library at UMass Dartmouth, comprised of physicist and musician, Stephon Alexander and noted playwright, media artist, and musician Morgan James Peters (Mwalim DaPhunkee Professor) who is a professor in the English Department as well as a part of the Black Studies program delved into these intertwined worlds.

Dr. Alexander who is a jazz saxophonist is also author of the book, The Jazz of Physics: The Secret Link Between Music and the Structure of the Universe (Basic Books, 2016).
