“For the Statist, liberty is not a blessing but the enemy. It is not possible to achieve Utopia if individuals are free to go their own way. The individual must be dehumanized and his nature delegitimized.”

--Mark Levin, Author

“Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto”

If you are a fan of Mark Levin (a.k.a. “The Great One”) then you have been hanging out watching his weekend TV show on Fox “Life, Liberty and Levin”, or have been blessed to hear his radio show where his passion comes out on matters of the Constitution and other political events of the day. However, if you have had a desire to view Levin in the written format, a solid introduction to his wit and power with the written word may be found in his work “Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto” (2009, 245 pages, Threshold Editions).

In light of what Americans have been viewing over the past few years in the political realm, Levin carefully guides the reader through a basic course of what makes a Conservative—a Conservative. This particular work has been listed on the “New York Times” Bestseller list at the number one position a few years back. It provides a great introduction to how Levin thinks and how well he can make the complexities of the U. S. Constitution easy to explain and understand.

The reason why Levin takes his time and makes the effort? There is a real need to unfold the concepts of liberty in a careful manner when compared and contrasted with those who believe that they can ‘work around’ the Constitution and the Bill of Rights and come up with their ‘own’ version of a ‘Statist Utopia’…at the expense of the individual freedoms of a majority of the American public. Levin is at his best clearly defining both liberty and tyranny and explaining why the two need to be understood.

“Liberty and Tyranny” is composed of ten power-packed chapters. A few of the highlights are contained in the chapters “On The Free Market”, “On Self-Preservation”, and “On Prudence and Progress.” Levin starts the learning from the opening pages of this work and makes it hard for the reader to put it down. While it may not be finished in an afternoon, it does have the ‘feel’ of a welcomed reference work that will have a welcomed spot on a library bookshelf to be reference again and again.

“Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto” by Mark Levin may be found at your favorite brick and mortar or on line bookseller. It is a welcome addition to help one ‘cut through’ some of the talking head clutter in the Mainstream Mess and allow the individual to form their own opinion on these issues as they form a large portion of our present public discourse.

Mike Ramey is a Minister, syndicated columnist, book reviewer and consultant. “On Line Reviews” is one of a variety of regular column titles which Ramey has in cyberspace from Barnstorm Communications International.

May 11, 2012

Raynard Jackson

Now that I have your attention, let’s talk. Say what you will about the gay community, but this one thing is clear, “they are masters at communications!”

I make my living doing Public Relations, Crises Management, and Strategic Planning, so I know good public manipulation when I see it and the gay community, in this regards, should be emulated by the Republican Party.

Growing up in St. Louis, there was no such thing or word as being gay (yes, I am sure they existed, but they definitely were not known). So, the gay community studied Blacks and the Civil Rights movement of the 1960’s and made a conscious decision to adopt—some would say hijack—the language of the Civil Rights community.

They went from gay rights to Civil Rights; from gay marriage to marriage equality. Anyone that knows anything about PR, knows that marketing is all about language and communications. Politics is the ultimate form of marketing.

You can ask a girl to have sex with you or you can ask her to make love to you. Both ask the same thing; but the latter uses a more effective way to communicate your desires than the former.

Early on, gays knew that America was not going to support “gay” rights, but in light of the experience of the Black community; who could be against “Civil Rights” for gays?

But yet, gays never explained and the media never asked were their assertion of “rights” stemmed from.

A “right” indicates something you are entitled to—by birth, by God, by law, by social norms, etc. Therefore, I would like my gay friends to explain to me the origin of their rights? They have rights as an American citizen, but not because they are gay. This is what you will not hear the gay community talk about because equal rights is not their real objective—that is a byproduct of their real goal.

Their real goal is to force society to “accept” their personal lifestyle choices—i.e., being gay, bisexual, transgendered, etc. Civil Rights for Blacks was never about acceptance, but rather enforcement of the U.S. Constitution. The Constitution had already guaranteed us the very rights we were fighting for—right to vote, right to live anywhere, right to due process, etc. We were not seeking to create a special class of rights based on “choices” we volunteerarily made (we were born Black—we did not choose to be Black). We did not choose to come to America nor did we choose to be slaves.

So, our Civil Rights movement was about enforcement of the rights we were already guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution. Therefore there can be no equating Blacks and Civil Rights with gays and special rights!

So, for Obama, Sharpton, the N.A.A.C.P, the Congressional Black Caucus to equate gay rights with Civil Rights should be an insult not only to the Black community; but to all who sacrificed for Blacks to gain the Civil Rights that Blacks were already due.

Former California U.S. Senator and linguist, S.I. Hayakawa once said, “meanings are in people, not in words.” Republicans typically think simply because they are right on the issues, somehow the public will understand their positions. They should learn to be more like the gay community—to understand how words can change the perception the public has on controversial issues. Gays understood that Americans would not support gay marriage, but who can be against “marriage equality?” What a brilliant PR move!

Republicans need to do a better job of educating the American people that they are not against gay people; they are against “special rights” for gays.

If Obama and the Democrats think gay rights is a Civil Right, then how can they at the same time say they will leave it up to the states to decide the issue? Huh? When are they going to introduce legislation in Congress that codifies gay rights as a Civil Right?

Everyone knows that the Democrats have no intention of introducing legislation because this is all an election year ploy!

Let me also help you with the media’s obsessive use of supposed polls that show that a majority of Americans “support” gay rights and gay marriage. What the media and gays never tell you is that there are currently 35 states that define marriage as between one man and one woman in their state constitutions. So, the polls are in direct contradiction to the facts on the ground.

This fact is a PR bonanza if the Republicans did a better job of communicating their positions to the public. To my Republican friends, learn how the gays have used language to advance their cause—in other words, be gay!

Raynard Jackson is president & CEO of Raynard Jackson & Associates, LLC., a D.C.-public relations/government affairs firm.

The goal of the members of the Elite is to create a New World Order, One World Government, or Global Union, all of which are the very same, with simply a name change only.

The main goal of the Elite is to create a Global Union, previously referred to as the New World Order. The Global Union will be made up of several Unions: The European Union and African Union were completed in 2000;

the South American Union was completed in 2008; and the North American Union is still under construction. Next will be the Asian Pacific Union, the Middle Eastern Union and Eastern Europe/or former Soviet Unions, all leading to the final Global Union. Their goal is to dominate the entire world, both politically and economically. Therefore, they want to eliminate nation states, such as the United States, which means that they want to nullify our Constitution and Bill of Rights.

Members of the Bilderbergs, Council on Foreign Relations and Trilateral Commission who work for the federal government are then traitors under the Logan Act. In addition, when they assume their office they take this oath: "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support the Constitution of the United States." Therefore, all Elite members who hold federal positions should be tried for treason.

The Logan Act is a United States federal law that forbids unauthorized citizens from negotiating with foreign governments. It was passed in 1799 and last amended in 1994. Violation of the Logan Act is a felony, punishable under federal law with imprisonment of up to three years.

The text of the Act is broad and is addressed at any attempt of a US citizen to conduct foreign relations without authority. However, there is no record of any convictions or even prosecutions under the Logan Act.

Source: Logan_Act

So, when members of the BB, CFR & TC conspire to avoid the sovereignty of the U.S. and to nullify the U.S. Constitution in order to create their Global Union, they are indeed traitors, and must be tried for this offence in the appropriate Federal Court of jurisdiction...

The United States is supposed to be a Constitutional Representative Republic, however widespread lack of participation has created a viscous cycle of dysfunctional government leading to further rejection of government by the people. This is only made worse by those in the media who refuse to treat this as a serious crisis, instead referring to all people as "voters", even in districts were only 10-20% of the people actually vote for their representatives.

The United States ranks last among industrialized nations in terms of participation by the people. Voter turnout in midterm general elections averages less than 38%. Voter turnout for Presidential elections ranges between 50 and 60%, but the President is given very little power according to the Constitution. So, despite years of work by voter advocates such as Rock the Vote, U.S. citizens vote the least in the most important elections and vote more in the less important ones. The TV and newspapers make the Presidential elections into media events that perpetuate a false left/right paradigm and further distract us from self-governing.

The Concept of Self Governing - All Politics is Local:

Freedom comes with responsibility, and only the people can be responsible for fixing things in their own government. In addition to legislative powers, the U.S. House has control over the money in the Treasury, they have the final approval of all Executive branch appointments, and they have the sole power to impeach the President.

State and local governments are also very important. The governor or legislature of a state has much more impact on one's life than the U.S. President. As an example of the backwards nature of American politics, over 60% of Virginians voted in the 2008 Presidential election, but turnout in Virginia dropped to less than 40% in the last state election.

The Solution:

The solution is very simple: We must start to acknowledge the correlation between widespread lack of participation by the people and the rise of dysfunctional partisan government that is not working for the people.

Start by getting informed.
The 2009 National Coalition of Blacks for Reparations in America (N'COBRA) Conference will be in Dallas, Texas, June 18-21, 2009, at the Mt. Tabor Family Life Center, 3700 Simpson Stuart Road, Dallas, Texas 75241. I will be there because registration is only $60, and I got a cheap plane ticket (USAir) out of Philadelphia for $246 roundtrip! For more information call:214-723-6030.With the new strategic tactics of a post-racial America the Reparations Movement must make a course correction and return to the public square with our dialog and demand for reparations for the world to hear. Obama is on the record against reparations, but I believe it is purely political, not intrinsic. Therefore, like the drum, our voice in the public square will come at him with the context he needs to respond to our demand... this will be the foundation leading to the Reparations Accord for Blacks in America within the next 10 years. If he doesn't hear us, he has no basis as the President of all the people of the United States to change his political position. This will be N'COBRA's 20th Conference. Let's keep on! Let's put the reparations movement on auto-pilot at every level of social and political engagement throughout the world and continue the "in the meanwhile internal repair" to strengthen our hands to do this good work.In a previous blog post here on the BlackList is a recent letter to Mrs. Michelle Obama as an example of "auto-pilot" action. Everyone must do some communication/direct action with the White House. We don't have to say the same thing under the same banner. We must say a lot of different things under a lot of different banners, in what ever city we live, however, we must demand the same outcome: Reparations via a Reparations Accord! This will set the context for negotiations with the "enslavers-in-perpetuity" (U.S.Congress, Religious Organizations, and Corporations).Lest we forget, our ancestors were stripped of their human identity, defined out of the human family, and did not participate in framing the terms and conditions of their/our freedom in the Emancipation Proclamation, nor the 13th, 14th, and the 15th Amendments to the Constitution. This is the reason why our people have no equal standing, agency, nor political capacity. This dark bargain of America's past must be made right. We must be at the table this time!
