The God in Good

April 30, 2009

Raynard Jackson

There is so much negative in our world that sometime we forget about the good that is all around and the God that is in good.

A few weeks ago I was asked by Isaiah Washington (of Grey’s Anatomy fame) to help him with a fundraising dinner for his foundation, The Gondobay Manga Foundation. He established the foundation to help the people of Sierra Leone in West Africa. The dinner was held last week in Washington, DC and I was glad to… Continue

My Neo "sexist" philosophy

My Neo "sexist" philosophy

Thursday, February 19, 2009 at 7:55pm

Reality is God's gift to people with no imagination.

Now for the people that understand the concept of consensus trance perception, no explanation of that statement is needed. For the rest of us however

Reality is a state that the predominate majority agree, dictate and project onto the scape of societies psyche.

Example: If you watch too much crime or reality television, it becomes a part of… Continue

The Decline Of Black Radio

Greetings Family,

(Contact Information At The Bottom Of The Page)

It's your friendly neighborhood "Digital Drummer"

The Black Agenda Report (www. has a good article on the decline of Black radio. Managing editor, Bruce Dixon points out how the corporatization of Black radio has silenced the voice of the Black community.

When the Tom Joyner Morning Show was pulled first from Chicago, and then from other markets early this… Continue

Obama’s church selection, post-racial symbolism over substance

When will it end? I'm talking about America’s full-court media pressure to have President Obama to reject everything with a Black context with links to the horrific one-way relationship of enslavement – master and slave. The selection of a church-home for a president’s family has never been under such public pressure.

The media and the body-politic of America is forcing Obama to be a post-racial symbol, without embracing and engaging what it would actually cost to be post-racial,… Continue

Upload of a Post, "Psychological Operations Psyops Surveillance" from website,

Many of the counter insurgency/pacification/destabilization/anti-democracy Cointelpro style operations used by the government of the United States against foreign governments, particularly Third World governments and used against the Indigenous governments of people of color (such as Cambodia, Chile, Granada, and Iran) have also been used domestically, against American political groups, American communities, and individual American dissenters and organic intellectuals (for a discussion of… Continue

U.S. Soldier Killed Herself -- After Refusing to Take Part in Torture

With each new revelation on U.S. torture in Iraq, Afghanistan and Gitmo (and who, knows, probably elsewhere), I am reminded of the chilling story of Alyssa Peterson, who I have written about numerous times in the past three years but now with especially sad relevance.… Continue

Christian Fundamentalists and Crazed Nationalists Call Abortion Torture While Remaining Silent on Issue of Sperm Cell Torture (Onanism)

Most anti-abortion radicals have never seen a picture of a mis-spent sperm cell and when you try to show them one they recoil in horror and persnicketiness. One famous shouting ideologue called such pictures "a waste!!" But why so when fundamentalists and ideologues claim to have a set of absolutes by which to judge all actions taken by women as either right or wrong? Is not the deaths every… Continue

Most abortion radicals have never seen a picture of an aborted foetus and when you try to show them one they recoil in objection. One famous Jamaica Observer atheist called such pictures "sick, sick!" But why so when atheists have no moral basis what soever; no basis on which to judge an action wrong or right. WHICH IS MORE TORTUROUS; WATERBOARDING OR CRUSHING THE SKULL OF A FOETUS? The…

Goats in Sheep's Clothing, Honey!

An elder student in my African American Lit course during a recent class meeting uttered the words, "Goats in sheep's clothing, Honey!" meaning those persons (including those Black persons we all know) whom you might expect to support justice and liberation and human freedom (those who even claim that they do) and yet actually support the status quo, the ruling class, and the power structure as is.

right: Bill Cosby

She ought to know about… Continue

American Exceptionalism vs. Obama’s Idealism

Ezrah Aharone:

During his European debut, a reporter in Strasbourg, France asked President Obama if he subscribes to the school of “American Exceptionalism” as did his predecessors. Being the first Black president and known as a uniter, the question weighs heavy in irony since America’s self-grandiosity is tied to military aggression and presidential legacies that are littered with unapologetic ethnic and cultural indifference. Although not a common term, African… Continue

Comrade Assata

I don't know when you people were in the movement but these are elementary assessments of what will happen. In a nut shell, when they open the border, mercenaries (blackwater etc.) under the guise of visiting family, will make a rush to kidnap her and bring her back for the 1 million dollar bounty that Congress approved, with the vote of Maxine Waters, Obama and others in 2008. That will keep Obama and Amerikkka clear and free.

Will Obama Sell Assata Out?

The New Assault on Assata Shakur:

Will Obama Sell Assata Out?

Paul Scott

Most Americans are not familiar with Assata Shakur. After all, she's not exactly the type of black super hero that they parade around during Black History Month. This is the type ignorance that some legislators in New Jersey hope will allow them to extradite Shakur back to the US under the cover of our darkness.

Assata Shakur (JoAnne Chisemard) was involved in a… Continue

Why Rich Black Folks Don't Work Together

I'm sure you have heard it many times over and over. You would be in their same tax bracket if you had a dime for every time a Black person said "why won't Oprah, Bill Cosby, Denzel, Bob Johnson, Jay-Z, or any of the other rich celebrities and athletes work together to build or buy-out a company which would in turn create opportunities for the common members of the Black Community"?

It doesn't take a Harvard Grad to figure out that if rich Black people pooled their resources, started… Continue

Obama’s Foreign Affairs

April 23, 2009

Raynard Jackson

President Obama’s recent foreign trips have generated quite a bit of reaction within our country. Having studied foreign affairs in graduate school and having done work in other countries, I have a somewhat different take than most Republicans, especially the conservative ones.

First, I am extremely concerned by the rhetoric coming from a lot of the usual pundits and talk show hosts. It seems as though Republicans can’t accept the… Continue

My Heart Was Deeply Touched

I FIRST HEARD the haunting, beautiful song, "Olive Tree" (sung, I later learned, by a woman named Zhu Feng Bo), at the beginning of a rather quizzical online video posted by Christoph Rehage, called, "Time Lapse: Growing a Beard and Walking to Germany", which chronicles a long journey taken on foot.

In the process of his long journey, although he starts out inside a room, clean shaven, Rehage grows a beard. The somewhat whimsical visual log he made of the… Continue

It's Up To Us

From The Ramparts

Junious Ricardo Stanton

It’s Up To Us

“We must give up the silly idea of folding our hands and waiting upon God to do everything for us. If God intended that He would not have given us a mind; He would not have given us intelligence; He would not have given us His Soul; He would not have placed us here in the midst of creation and surrounded us with all the beautiful things of nature. Whatsoever you want in life you must make up your mind… Continue
